Steven David Hagewood

Steven David Hagewood, 62 of Portland slipped peacefully into eternal rest on Monday, October 17, 2022, surrounded by his loving family at Sumner Regional Medical Center.

Steve was born in Nashville on October 9, 1960, to the late George Washington Hagewood and Peggy June Lane Hagewood.

A good man, a precious soul!  That's what you would say if you knew Steve Hagewood. He was a quiet hard-working man who kept to himself. He was a man with a big heart, a family man. Although Steve never married, he was a loving son, devoted brother and a wonderful uncle who built tree houses for his nieces and nephew. He loved his family more than life itself. They were his world. 

Steve was a plumber by trade but there was nothing he couldn't build. He would look at a project and find the best way to make it a reality. He was also a gifted carpenter.

Left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Michelle Sims and her husband David, Teresa Loper and her husband Jerry, his brother Mike Hagewood and his wife Chrissy, his nieces, Dana Michelle Hagewood, Leia Hagewood, and Mandi Evitts, his nephew, Joseph Goodman. He also leaves behind his great nieces and nephews, Austin Goodman and his wife, Christian, Alley Farhat and her husband Allen, Taylor Jade Caldwell, Presley Jade Caldwell and Kennedy Michelle Evitts.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents.
