Joyce A Shrum

Joyce A. Shrum, 79 of Madison, TN, peacefully passed to her Eternal Rest on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.

Joyce was born on February 14, 1943, the daughter of Grover and Della Mae Wilburn. She was an active member of New Bethel Baptist Church where she assisted her devoted husband, Jerry as he Pastored the Church for over 25 years enjoying all the people who made up her Church Family. She worked for Sears for 20 years before going on to work for the State of Tennessee for another 20 years. 

Joyce considered her greatest blessing as spending time with and taking care of her family. She was an easy going, good natured, professional lady whose grace, dignity and godliness was shown through everything she did. Her quiet presence will be forever missed by those who have been blessed to know her. 

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 62 years, Jerry Shrum, son, Timothy Shrum (Michael Tibbs), daughter, Lisa Pedigo (Lannie), brother, Bobby Wilburn (Sue), sister, Jane Sisco (Larry) grandchildren, Jake (Lyndsi) Pedigo, Jared Pedigo, great granddaughter Lucy Pedigo, nieces, Gail Beaty (Ronnie), Shannon Miller (Tom), nephews, Shane Sisco, Josh Sisco (Emily), Michael (Monica) Beaty, great-nieces, Ade Beaty, Jennifer Carney (Andrew), great-nephews, Dalton and Neyland Sisco along with many loving friends.

The Family will receive friends from 11:00am-6:00pm on Friday, September 16, 2022, at New Bethel Baptist Church with Funeral Service at 6:00pm following visitation.
