Barbara Kontur Obituary
Barbara Elaine Kontur, 80 of Portland, TN passed away peacefully on December 26, 2023 at Sumner Regional Medical Center after a long illness.
She was born in Latrobe, PA on April 13, 1943, the daughter of Charles R. and Mary E. (Heffley) Smith.
Barbara was a 1961 graduate from Penns Manor High School and her life was marked by moments of joy and shared laughter with those she held dear. Her spirit will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband, Philip D. Kontur, three loving children: Tracie Montano (Marc), Charlie Heilman (Diane), and Destiny Shannon (Michael), her beloved granddaughter, Annastasia Shannon and her first friend and sister, Bonnie Eaves along with other family and friends.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Charles R. and Mary E. Smith.
It was Barbara's wish to be cremated and a private service will take place at a later date.
